Upcycling Workshop at The Repair Studio
🧵 What a fantastic lunchtime at The Repair Studio
Wednesday 29 July 2026! ✂️🪡🧵

It was wonderful to see so many people picking up a needle and thread, learning new skills, and discovering the joy of repairing their clothes.
I was delighted to deliver this hand-stitching repair workshop in collaboration with the City of London Corporation and their amazing Recycling Team Green Square Mile and Culture Mile BID Mile & Woolgate.
Participants learned simple mending techniques, repaired items from home, and gained the confidence to extend the life of their favourite clothes helping to reduce textile waste and keep garments out of landfill.
A huge thank you to the City of London Corporation and the Recycling Team and Culture Mile BID & Woolgate for organising this wonderful team-bonding workshop, providing refreshments and lunch, and making everyone feel welcome.
I would also like to thank all the friendly and helpful staff at Woolgate Exchange for preparing the room and supporting us on the day we really appreciate your help.
A special thank you to my wonderful team for their support. As I am deaf, I cannot do everything alone, and I truly appreciate their help in making this workshop a success. 🙏❤️
As a deaf business owner, inclusion is at the heart of what I do. Through my workshops, everyone is welcome whatever their background, ability, or experience level. I believe creativity, learning, and connection should be accessible to everyone.
